Field Technician
Field Technician Job Summary
We are looking for a Field Tech to support plant maintenance work. Candidates will be working on the installation, troubleshooting and repair of company equipment in the field. Ideal candidate will be electronically savvy and be a fast learner of company processes. Duties include calibration of units in the field, set up and testing the units, troubleshooting parts and problems, working with instrumentation and probes, changing out components, plugging up the main electrical chord to the unit. The field tech will make sure everything is in place, connections are made and plugged in correctly, and all commissioning items are done. Other responsibilities will include maintenance calls to sites where issues have come up, and tech will be responsible for troubleshooting areas and connections, and repairing them. Candidates will be trained to company specifics and equipment. Work will be conducted at Power Plants.
Field Technician Education and Experience
- Understand repairs and how to make critical decisions in the field.
- Troubleshoot to the component level
- High school or Associates degree preferred.
- Must be able to travel 50-75% of the time or as needed in the domestic U.S. Travel will be Monday through Friday.
