Advanced Accounting Specialist – 6 Month Contract to Hire
We are looking for an Advanced Accounting Specialist in Maryville, TN. The Accounting Specialist will establish policies and procedures with cross functional teams such as accounting, production control, IT, and engineering to resolve high volume invoicing issues. The ideal candidate will possess great analytical and communications skills with at least 5 years of transactional accounting experience. Shift hours are 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM. This is a hybrid position working 3 days per week in the office and 2 days per week remotely. The starting pay for this role is $43.00/hour (depending on experience).
Job Description:
- Investigate invoices & other forms of documentation (purchase orders, receipts of goods
- Work together with other departments to determine a resolution for processing invoices to suppliers
- Receiving invoices and matching them to receipts
- Investigate and analyze financial statements
- Develop process improvement activities
- Work in inventory management systems & accounting software’s
- Have an understanding of GAAP and IFRS Accounting principles
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance
- 5+ years of experience in accounting or relevant experience
- Proven experience with inventory management systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, V – Look Ups, basic formulas, etc.)
- Proficient in basic accounting systems (Oracle, JD Edwards, SAP)
- Possesses analytical and problem solving skills
- Process improvement mindset
- Experience working in manufacturing environment
