Job Summary:
The Accountant is responsible for general accounting activities in support of our US operations. The Accountant interacts with individuals at all levels to answer questions and ensure all financial transactions are handled correctly.
Job Duties
- Accounts receivable and accounts payable – data entry, processing, reporting, tracking, and regular follow-up communications.
- Processes shop repairs and domestic spare parts orders.
- Enters purchase order invoices into SAP.
- Bank reconciliation and review.
- Ensures timely and accurate processing for all journal entries and other transactions.
- Other office support functions as required.
- May be required to occasionally work non-traditional hours in support of global projects or international conference calls.
Education and Experience
- Associates degree in Accounting required. (Bachelors Preferred)
- Three (3) years of general accounting experience.
- Experience manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
- Strong data entry skills, analytical skills and attention to detail are essential.
- Experience with Excel and SAP (or a similar fully integrated ERP system) is required.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to use PC for extended periods of time.
- Infrequent lifting and carrying up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
