The Fish That Didn't Get Away
by Andy Moss
It was Spring break in Knoxville TN so we loaded up the family wagon and headed to the Florida coast. Vacations are a blast and we use this time to reconnect to the family and life outside the four walls of our business. This trip was extra fun because I had plans to take all three of my boys fishing in the bay. Fishing is fun and exciting, but you have to be ready for anything. That makes it really similar to what we do at M Force.
When you decide you are taking a fishing trip in a new place you want to hire the best guide in the area. This guide needs to have experience, skill and the ability to communicate. If he lacks those things you’re much less likely to be successful catching fish. When a company is looking to hire a recruiting firm they also want the best in the area with experience, skill and ability to communicate what they find. Having the right GUIDE to lead you through the recruiting world is so very important. They are lots of fish in the sea, but not all of them have the experience you’re looking for. That’s where we can help.
The Right Equipment
Our guide this week had the best stuff! He had the best boat, the best rods and the best bait. In our world of staffing you better have the best equipment. You need the job boards and ways to advertise to potential employees. Plus, you need to give your recruiters the best tools (management systems, phones, computers) to succeed. At M Force, our rods and reels are our social communication channels, our job boards, our proprietary database of candidates and the recruiters who help bring it all together for you.
Fishing takes patience, skill and most of all luck! But luck doesn’t matter unless you work hard and put the bait in the right spot. You don’t have to be the biggest guy in the boat to catch a fish. For example, my son Adam was the smallest guy in the boat on our trip and he hooked into the largest redfish of the day. I watched him work his hardest to reel in this fish and it was so amazing. He grunted, he had the rod between his little legs and he pulled with all his strength. In the end, he had a smile as big as the fish.
That’s the way M Force works. We may not be the big boy in the staffing world, but we work the hardest and we WIN. We have a better staff, better support and a better mindset to recruit for our clients. Recruiting is not rocket science but it is a skill. At M Force we have more than 100 years of staffing experience in just two offices. That all means that, just like Adam, we don’t often let fish get away.
Don’t hire a bad guide, Don’t work with someone with bad equipment. Work with someone who will fight for you. Just like my son, we will grunt and reel hard to make sure we land that big fish for your company. As a client of M Force you expect the best and we will provide the best!
