It's Not Just the 8 to 5, but the 5 to 8
By Taylor Mullins
Whether you’re a first time job seeker or a job market vet, you’ll quickly learn that finding a job has a lot to do with standing out from the crowd.
And if you’ve worked with a staffing company before, you probably wonder how a company like M Force is any different than the others. For me the answer is fairly simple; we will work for you when the other guys won’t.
Let us take for instance a typical work day, 8am to 5pm. This is the time we owe our company. For me, I spend most of that time calling, networking and making our name as prominent as I can in the Chattanooga community. But what happens between 5pm and 8am the following day? Job seekers definitely don’t stop looking for work, so why would we stop helping? This is the time that really makes the difference. This is the time that you owe yourself, and this is what sets M Force apart.
When the clock hits 5pm, it’s not merely the end of the day, but the start of a new work environment. What are we doing after work to better our odds of growth and success? Are we networking with clients over drinks, taking a potential client out to dinner, setting up a breakfast meeting, or just taking the time to do something as simple as handwriting a note to the a new prospect thanking them for taking our call or sitting down and speaking with us. Taking these questions seriously can have an exponential impact on the quality of jobs we have available for people looking for work.
Here at M Force, we have the freedom to show job seekers that we do care about them on a personal level, and assure them that we will not only take the time to find a great career that will improve their lives. This is the difference I have seen and grown to know here at M Force.
These are just a few things I have make a part of my daily routine, and I believe they’re traits that should be passed down to anyone in business. For more information, please check out what our VP Andy Moss had to say about M Force’s new “Make a Difference” philosophy.
Thanks for checking us out, we look forward to getting to know you. I hope you have a blessed holiday, and a happy and productive new year!
