Great Places for a Business Lunch in Chattanooga
By Emily Neutens
Chattanooga is a great place for the outdoors, art and food. The Scenic City is particularly known for its variety of unique and local restaurants. Each has built its own culture and thrives because of community support. If you are looking for a place that has community support Chattanooga is the place to be. Whenever a new restaurant opens everyone gathers to see what it has to offer.
Chattanooga also has a growing business scene. We’re always looking for new places to take prospective clients. And there’s no shortage of impressive places for lunch! Here are a few of my favorite places to sit back, relax and enjoy the great food the city of Chattanooga has to offer.
First stop on my list is Bluegrass Grille located off of E Main Street. Bluegrass is locally owned by a Chattanooga family. Over the past couple years in Chattanooga, Bluegrass has become one of my favorites on Saturday morning for breakfast (which they serve all day) but even better during the week when I am looking for a fresh soup, salad or sandwich.
Another good spot is The Social. It’s not only a place to stop by after work to get a drink but a wonderful spot to grab some good food with a coworker or client. The Social offers a great location downtown in Warehouse Row and is connected to the well-known restaurant Public House. It offers southern style cuisine and a cozy atmosphere. The Social and Public House support Chattanooga’s community by getting their ingredients for their food from local farms. One of my personal favorites is the Fried Chicken. It is the absolute best fried chicken in all of Chattanooga.
Finally, if you are looking for the perfect place to impress a client you can never go wrong with one of Chattanooga’s oldest restaurants, 212 Market. They offer a wide variety of specialty foods including vegetarian and gluten free options. Just like a lot of the other Chattanooga restaurants, 212 Markets buys their food from local farms. 212 Market has the best Seafood Bisque I have ever tasted. You really cannot go wrong with anything on their menus. They have something for everyone.
Don't stop here though, Chattanooga has so many great places to eat and drink! That's what makes this such an amazing city to live and work. Happy exploring!
